Options
At White Tiger Creations, we believe you can never have enough options. Beginning with our necklaces and bracelets, you can select your length, clasp, and color or gemstone. We have several earring wire styles available, including French hook, kidney, post, and clip-ons.
PLEASE BE AWAREThe appearance of colors on your screen may vary, depending on the hardware and software/browser you are using to view this page. Our full color photos are as accurate as possible, but the colors of the actual pearl and semiprecious gemstone beads you receive will vary. As with all natural pearl and gemstone beads there is a variation in color, size and shape which adds dimension to the necklace. A genuine gemstone is never exactly like another. In the same parcel, from the same mine; there can be infinite variation in color and quality.
LengthsOur necklaces are stocked in 16- or 18-inch lengths for women’s and 18- or 20-inch for men’s. The bracelets are stocked in 7- to 8-inch lengths. We do not show anklets on our site, but any bracelet can be sized up to an anklet. Refer to Options: Strand Lengths for examples of necklace lengths and measurement guides. All of our strands may be customized to any size you need. Use a cloth tailor's measuring tape (available where sewing goods are sold) or a chain necklace and ruler to measure the length you want. The price pulldown notes the price structure for the standard lengths of 14, 16, 18, 20, 24 and 30 inches. We can size any of our pieces for children. It is best to measure the child to determine the length needed, especially for preteens. I usually make preschool children necklaces 14" and bracelets 6". ClaspsWe have several styles of clasps (refer to Options : Clasps ). The most popular and easiest to use are the toggle clasps. They are also one of the most secure clasps. The two styles of lobster clasps, traditional and heart, are used on many of our show pieces. Although we use the pearl clasps mostly with our pearl strands, they work well with many of our other beads. Our most basic clasp is the hook and eye, which we use on our lighter weight strands. Most styles are available in silverplate, goldplate, sterling silver, and gold-filled. We do not stock 14k gold clasps, but we can special order them. Refer to About Our Products for additional information on metals. Our fun clasps are the magnetic clasps. They seem to be popular with the men, especially the larger sleeve style. The double cone or smaller sleeve style magnetic clasp makes putting on a necklace easier for someone with limited mobility.
EarringsAt White Tiger Creations we are aware that many people have allergies to certain metals. We include metal content information on our site for our earwires when it is available from our suppliers. Some of our pieces are made using silverplate or goldplate French hooks, kidneys, or posts. Most of the cultured freshwater pearl, Swarovski crystal, cat’s eye, and some of the semi-precious gemstones use sterling silver or gold-filled earwires. We note in the description of the earring the type of earwire used for our stock items. You may select the earwire or post that you want from the pulldown. Refer to Options: Earwires & Posts. Refer to About Our Products for additional information on metals. We will gladly exchange any of our earwires with clip-ons, which are also pictured in Options: Earwires & Posts. There may be an additional charge for the clip-ons.
ColorsNow you can choose the color. Most of our designs provide a pulldown menu for color choices, but you can special order other beads by sending us an e-mail at Sales@WhiteTigerCreations.com. To help you with color selection, we have provided an overall color chart ( Options: Combined Color Chart ) showing our crystal, gemstone, cat’s eye, and glass pearl selections. We have additional charts for birthstone, anniversary, and Zodiac colors. See below for additional information. Many of our colors are displayed in our on-line photos or you can browse the charts to find the color you like. Refer to About Our Products for additional information, especially on gemstone enhancement. We have over 50 different gemstones in stock, about 25 colors each for Swarovski crystal, Czech crystal, and cat's eye, and 19 glass pearl colors. BirthstonesWe use two charts showing the colors/gemstones we use for birthstones: Options: Birthstone Crystal & Cat's Eye and Options: Birthstone Gemstones. There are several versions of colors charts available in the industry. For the gemstones, we use a “modern” list that replaces the precious gemstones with semi-precious gemstones. Our pieces use round and shaped drilled beads, which are not readily available in precious gemstones so we use semi-precious.
AnniversaryOptions: Anniversary Crystal & Cat's Eye and Options: Anniversary Gemstones charts show the colors used for anniversaries. For the first anniversary, charts note both gold jewelry and freshwater pearls and for the 20 th platinum jewelry and emeralds. Watches are listed for the 15 th anniversary – we offer beaded bands for our watches, so you may want to combine birthstone colors with the anniversary gift. For the 25 th and 50 th, we list the traditional silver and gold. You may visit our Gold & Silver pages under each of our jewelry and gifts sections.
ZodiacThe charts Options: Zodiac Gemstones and Options: Zodiac Crystal & Cat's Eye list the colors and gemstones of the Zodiac. Traditionally, gemstones are used for Zodiac pieces because the gemstones are thought to possess specific powers. We do provide a chart with crystal colors if you prefer to use them. The following list details the properties associated with each stone listed in our chart:
PendantsSeveral of our necklaces are made with pendants. We put them together in Options: Pendants to allow viewing of all of the items. We also use our charms for pendants on some of our pieces, so you may want to look at Charms. For crosses and crucifixes, please refer to Options: Religious Items . Letter BeadsWe stock the silvertone pewter 7mm letter beads, and we can special order them in 5mm. They are also available by special order in goldtone, sterling silver 5.5mm, and vermeil (gold-plate on sterling) 5.5mm. A heart-shaped 7mm bead is also available by special order in sterling silver only. We stock number cubes in pewter silvertone 7mm and can special order them in goldtone and sterling silver 5.5mm. ReligiousUnder Options: Religious Items, we pulled together the crosses, crucifixes, and Y-connectors/centers that we use in our rosaries. Selection of these items can be made on the pulldown for the rosary, but this display allows viewing of all of the items. |
